Demographic Aspects of the Changing Rural Labor Force

This report highlights and synthesizes knowledge of labor force and employment trends, particularly for the 1980s; and (2) proposes a modest agenda for rural labor force research in the 1990s. Conclusion points to sectoral change of national and international economy points to likelihood of continued substantial impact in rural labor force demographics- potential for wage stagnancy, loss of jobs, further feminization of poverty.
