 Document examines trends affecting children’s well-being, including indicators of economic well-being, physical health, academic achievement, and social behavior.

Report aims to (1) identify information gaps and unresolved substantive and/or methodological issues, and (2) propose the highest priority issues for research during the 1990’s. Document categorizes research on children/youth through:  (1) family living arrangements, (2) maternal employment and child care, and (3) social and economic well-being.
