This document explores impact of tech industry growth and Rural community capture of job gains. Rural communities making most significant gains in high tech jobs are those adjacent to metropolitan areas.

The report finds that attention is rarely given to the unique problems that rural economies have in attracting jobs. Other findings include that unless policy changes be made directionally, it is doubtful that rural communities will share in economic benefits of future high growth.
