Final report of project entitled the “Rural Economic and Community Development State Policy Academy.”

Report is intended to respond to broad challenges in promoting rural development such as (1) translating research results on rural issues into a form useful to state governments, (2) building the states’ capacities to craft and implement strategies tailored to their unique circumstances, (3) Helping States assess barriers to and opportunities for rural development, (4) providing ideas and rural policy initiatives that might improve the quality of life in rural communities. Report provides reflections on policy academy successes in three years of project, as well as policy academy schedules and participant information.
