Focus is on school restructuring to produce students who can become highly skilled and highly paid workers in order to meet the needs of today’s society. Paper examines changes in school organization, teacher education, curriculum and instruction, the way students learn, the relevance of learning to the job market, the relationship between schools and the community, and the role of education among other societal services, such as health care and social services.
